This is the best app for schools

This app is great for overall news for the day. The good thing about this app is that it updates daily unlike others that only update weekly.

I love how easy it to swipe with two fingers and change the reading levels!

Gives great and resourceful information on anything of your preference.

Ive been waiting for this app. My second grade students cant wait to get on the website and take quizzes.

This app is an amazing extension of the newsela.com program. The site provides daily current event articles that can be modified to fit every lexile level. The articles even come with multiple choice and short answer comprehension questions! Its the perfect way to bring relevant nonfiction text to the classroom.

This app is slow, almost never loads, and always has problems when submitting a quiz. I literally have not had a single time when I have submitted a quiz and it went smoothly. Many times I have had to restart the app because it got stuck loading. The only thing going for this app is that its user interface is on the right track.

I could not even get the app to open, it kept crashing.

Newsela is a good app, but you have to have wifi to run it, and I wish there was a video along with every article. You also have to sign in every time you want to read. Its so so over all..

As an educator, I use this each week for my students to add nonfiction to the literature topics we are currently reading. Love that it now syncs with Google classroom and know that new features will keep coming to make this fantastic app even better. Keep it up NewsELA!

I live using this except for one glitch were I cant upload quiz

I use Newsela with my 5th/6th grade students. The ability to choose reading levels has been one of the most transformative aspects of it. In my class Ive got students reading from 2nd to 11th grade levels. Newsela empowers each student to read at his or her appropriate level. The topics from which they can choose are engaging and relevant from a students point of view (as well as an adults point of view). Many of my students opt to read Newsela during silent reading time. From a teachers point of view the quizzes provide meaningful data onwhat kids understand or types of questions which they might struggle with. This has changed how I teach and how my students read nonfiction text. I couldnt imagine teaching without Newsela.

Loved using the website on my desktop, the app makes it just as easy to access articles on the go
